This is one of my absolute FAVORITE smoothie recipes! I usually make this as a late afternoon snack so that I get a good kick of carbs and sugar from the fruit, a serving of veggies, and 20 grams of protein to ward off hunger until dinner time. This is also great frozen and then eaten as an “ice cream” for those night time, sweet tooth cravings.
-1 Banana, sliced
-1 cup of frozen mixed berries (can be fresh as well, but I like the consistency when the fruit is frozen)
-1 Handful of spinach
-1 Scoop of protein powder (for this smoothie, I used chocolate peanut butter flavored protein powder)
-2-3 cubes of ice
-Dash of water
Optional: Chia seeds to top smoothie off once blended
Combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender until smooth. ENJOY!
